Our Mission

Our mission is to share our Canadian dance classics and new creations with our established and developing audiences and to enrich the dance journeys of all our artists and audience members.

We are committed to the development of our modern dance art form, a genre that has already sourced much of our current practice in Canada, and carries within its methodologies and sensibilities many avenues for dance exploration and performance innovation.

Our performance seasons and outreach activities re-position our existing works in the here and now, re-establishing a contemporary dance presence and setting the stage for new dance creation. Our seasons also recognize and celebrate the city of Toronto as an important centre for dance creation in Canada.
